	Gemini 200 1/200 scale G2PAA690: Lockheed L-1011-500 TriStar N511PA Clipper Black Hawk of Pan American Airways. Now rare and extremely hard to find. Length 9.75 inches Wingspan 9.75 inches Designed to meet an American Airlines requirement for a wide-bodied transport, the L-1011 was first flown on November 16th, 1970. The general layout and three-engined configuration is very similar to the McDonnell Douglas DC-10, with which the L-1011 was designed to compete. It was the first widebody airliner to receive FAA certification for zero-visibilty autolanding using an Inertial Navigation System based autopilot. A total of 250 aircraft were produced before Lockheed elected to completely withdraw from the commercial aircraft business as a result of poor sales.
